Our Team

RCG Tower Group is led by Co-Presidents Paul Eisenberg and Michael Lifland. Their combined telecommunications engineering and real estate acquisition and development backgrounds guide our growth to the forefront of urban rooftop communications site management.

Michael Lifland

Co-President

Michael is Co-President of RCG Tower Group. For the ten-year period prior to co-founding RCG Tower, Michael was Co-President of Repeater Communications Group. Prior to RCG, Michael was a Senior Vice President overseeing institutional partner relationships and acquisitions at KG Urban Advisors, a real estate investment vehicle founded in partnership with the President and the CEO of Newmark Knight Frank. For the six years prior to joining KG Urban, Michael was a Vice President at AVR Realty Company responsible for the acquisition and asset management of over two million square feet of commercial and multi-family residential properties throughout the country as well as multiple redevelopment projects. Preceding his tenure at AVR Realty, Michael was an Associate with J.D. Carlisle Development Corp. Michael started his career in real estate with Merrill Lynch and prior to that was an urban planning consultant for Jambhekar Strauss Architects (now FX Fowle Architects). Michael is a graduate of Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies and a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning. Michael also holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University and remains an active real estate investor.

Paul Eisenberg

Co-President

Paul is the second generation of his family to operate urban telecommunications sites and networks. For the 10-year period prior to co-founding RCG Tower, Paul was the Co-President of Repeater Communications Group. Prior to joining Repeater Communications, Paul was a Cisco certified CCNA and CCNP network systems engineer with Shore Group, Inc., a network infrastructure software and managed services provider. In addition to his work with RCG Tower, Paul is a managing principal of the OneVoice P2T Radio Network, an advanced digital 2-way push-2-talk network with service covering 70% of the population of the northeast. Paul also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Wireless Association as well as Citywide Disaster Services, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation providing public safety communications in and around New York City. Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Ithaca College.

Robyn Lifland

Chief Operating Officer & Comptroller

Robyn is the Chief Operating Officer and Comptroller of RCG Tower Group, responsible for all financial and back-office operations. Previously, Robyn served as Comptroller of Repeater Communications, overseeing all accounting, bookkeeping, administration, and human resources activities for eight years. Before joining Repeater, Robyn was a Senior Manager in the Securities Evaluations Department at Standard & Poors and prior to that was a Manager in Equity Research at UBS. Robyn holds a B.S. in Environmental Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.

Jessalyn Gerbholz

Vice President Site Acquisitions

Jessalyn is responsible for maintaining and developing customer relations and liaising between communications companies and property owners throughout the site-development process, a role she also held at Repeater Communications.  Prior to RCG Tower Group and Repeater Communications, she was a site acquisition specialist at Smartlink LLC and NextEdge Networks and has worked on a variety of client projects including for such wireless companies as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Dish Networks, Charter Wireless, and Comcast.

Michael zahra

Director of Operations

Michael brings to RCG over three decades of telecommunications RF design, deployment and engineering experience as the Manager of RF Engineering for Sprint/T-Mobile and Nextel.  Michael began his career in telecommunications at RCG predecessor company, Repeater Communications Corporation in 1985.  Michael is a graduate of Brooklyn College. 

History

RCG Tower Group was founded by Paul Eisenberg and Michael Lifland in April of 2021.  For the ten years prior to forming RCG Tower Group, Paul and Michael led Repeater Communications Group, a leading developer and operator of co-located rooftop communications sites in the northeast.  In March 2020, Repeater Communications joined InSite Wireless Group, LLC, one of the largest privately held wireless infrastructure companies in the country, and in December 2020 was subsequently acquired by American Tower Corporation as part of the latter’s $3.5B acquisition of InSite Wireless Group.

Our experience in wireless communications dates to wireless pioneer Gary Eisenberg’s development of Enhanced Specialized Mobile Radio (ESMR) networks in New York City, which eventually merged into Fleetcall/Nextel. In 2001, Gary was awarded a fellowship by the Radio Club of America for his various contributions to the development of wireless communications. RCG Tower Group strives to honor Gary's legacy, specializing in rooftop and tower site operations and development.
